据央视新闻消息，7月3日晚， 在2027年国际篮联世界杯预选赛中，中国男篮不敌日本男篮。
首节比赛，中国男篮21-22微弱落后日本男篮。上半场，中国男篮40-50落后日本男篮10分。
第三节，中国男篮59-74落后日本男篮，双方比分差距扩大。第四节结束，中国男篮73-92不敌日本男篮。
在前四轮比赛中，中国男篮取得了2胜2负的战绩，名列B组积分榜第三位，日本男篮位居小组第一。其中，中国男篮在今年2月26日以87比80战胜日本男篮，收获世预赛首胜。
根据赛程安排，7月6日，中国男篮将对阵中国台北男篮。
