美国国家气象局网站7月2日发布消息说，破纪录的高温天气将持续笼罩美国中部和东部大部分地区，最高体感温度可达115华氏度（约46摄氏度）。另据美国媒体报道，约有1.63亿人受到高温影响。当天，波士顿、纽约、华盛顿、匹兹堡和亚特兰大等主要城市的高温风险均处于最高级别。（新华社）
