本场比赛，加拿大国脚乔纳森-戴维完成帽子戏法，赛后他也获得了本场比赛的最佳球员。
据统计，乔纳森-戴维成为自1966年世界杯决赛英格兰球员杰夫-赫斯特之后，首位在本土举办的世界杯上演帽子戏法的球员。
