北京时间6月12日凌晨结束的世界杯揭幕战，墨西哥主场2-0战胜南非，墨西哥小将希尔韦托-莫拉在下半场替补登场，创造历史。
据统计，莫拉以17岁240天的年纪，成为世界杯登场最年轻的东道主球员，与此同时他在世界杯历史最年轻出场纪录榜上位列第六位。
2025年6月，年仅16岁的莫拉完成墨西哥国家队首秀，目前他已经为国家队出场9次，有1次助攻进账。
