6月2日，国际能源署石油部负责人表示，另一次国际能源署协调的紧急石油储备释放是有可能的，但今天并未进行讨论。在约4亿桶储备释放计划中，大约一半已经进入市场，另一半仍将在未来投放。从今天起，霍尔木兹海峡重新开放在最优情况下可能需要6至8个月时间。
