兴福寺巷，因兴福寺而得名。东起西昌中路，西至大王庙巷，长1300米。兴福寺为明代以前建筑，规模宏大，东南角有大钟，西南角有一座九层塔。赛珍珠在《大地》里写到过古塔，据说登塔可见隋堤杨柳、古城烟火，如今它仅存于大运河遗址碑文间，而塔影仍流淌在诺贝尔文学殿堂的笔尖。
