最有代表性的，就是贝宁追讨阿波美皇宫珍宝这件事。1892年11月18日，法国军队攻入达荷美王国，也就是今天的贝宁，不仅烧毁了阿波美皇宫，还顺手把26件王室珍宝打包带回法国，最后进了凯布朗利博物馆。
