5月7日消息，传奇经济学家、前美林证券(Merrill Lynch)首席策略市Gary Shilling认为，几乎没有什么能够阻止美国经济今年陷入衰退。Shilling近日在接受Business Insider采访时，对市场和经济前景给出了悲观判断。
在他看来，鉴于美国经济多个领域持续存在脆弱性，美国今年陷入衰退几乎已不可避免。他同时预计，随着估值升至令人眩晕的水平，美股可能出现大幅调整。Shilling表示，他认为标普500指数最终可能下跌多达30%，熊市级别的跌幅可能在年底前到来。
