2025年3月，一些Boards of Canada乐迷的邮箱里出现了神秘的VHS录像带。里面没有音乐，只有纪录片片段和雪花噪点。两个月后，这张名为《Inferno》的专辑正式官宣——距离他们上一张作品已过去12年。
一场反算法的精准投放
这对苏格兰兄弟Mike Sandison与Marcus Eoin向来以神秘著称。此次他们绕过流媒体算法，选择用最复古的方式唤醒死忠听众：全球邮寄录像带、张贴海报，最终释出13年来首支新曲"Tape 05"。
专辑详情
《Inferno》将于5月29日通过老东家Warp发行，共收录18首曲目。从曲目名看，"1420 MHz"指向氢原子发射频率，"Naraka"为佛教地狱概念，"Platonia"则源自哲学家柏拉图的理念世界——延续了二人将科学术语与神秘主义编织成声景的传统。
