2015年7月1日，第十二届全国人民代表大会常务委员会第十五次会议通过《中华人民共和国国家安全法》，并将每年4月15日确定为全民国家安全教育日。2026年是国家安全法颁布施行11周年，4月15日是第十一个国家安全教育日。今年国家安全教育日的主题是“统筹发展和安全，护航‘十五五’新征程”。
