北京时间4月11日，蒙特卡洛大师赛半决赛第二场，阿尔卡拉斯2-0战胜瓦谢鲁，晋级决赛，决赛将迎战辛纳。
首盘瓦谢鲁先发，阿尔卡拉斯在第三局逼出第一个破发点就予以兑现，在一个LOVE GAME拿下发球胜盘局后，阿尔卡拉斯6-4先胜一盘。
第二盘瓦谢鲁先发，阿尔卡拉斯同样在第三局实现破发，瓦谢鲁随后回破。第九局，瓦谢鲁压力非常大的一局，阿尔卡拉斯15-40落后的情况下连拿四分破发，随后拿下发球胜赛局，6-4再胜一盘，从而2-0战胜瓦谢鲁晋级决赛。
