4月10日，东莞市常平镇第十八届人民代表大会第十一次会议召开。经大会选举，卢泰强全票当选常平镇人民政府副镇长。

此前，卢泰强是清溪镇副镇长。官方简历显示，卢泰强，男，汉族，1972年出生，2002年6月加入中国共产党，1996年4月参加工作。
