中国乒乓球协会4月8日晚公布2026年伦敦世界乒乓球团体锦标赛决赛参赛名单。樊振东作为第十五届全国运动会乒乓球项目成年组男单冠军，依据选拔办法可直接入选。中国乒协就参加伦敦世乒赛团体赛事宜，主动征询樊振东本人意见。樊振东表示因个人原因自愿放弃伦敦世乒赛团体赛的参赛资格。
