12月7日，国际民航日国际民航日是作为国际民航组织50周年活动的组成部分，于1994年设立的。
1996年，根据国际民航组织的一项倡议并在加拿大政府的协助下，联合国大会通过A/RES/51/33决议, 联合国大会正式承认12月7日为联合国系统内的国际民航日。
