3月29日晚间，全新莲花Forme 上市发布会后，莲花汽车CEO冯擎峰接受了包括21世纪经济报道在内的媒体采访，回应外界所谓“极氪王”及“换壳论”时明确表示，将莲花简单理解为“换壳”产品的看法过于片面。他强调，如果仅靠更换外壳就能造出一台莲花，那将造车想得太过简单。他认为，莲花在底盘调校与整车架构上所投入的专属技术，远非“换壳”所能实现。
