洛杉矶：强化美国西海岸业务布局

随着洛杉矶办公室的设立，金杜将进一步强化在美国西海岸的业务布局及专业能力，与现有的纽约办公室和硅谷办公室形成有力协同。洛杉矶办公室将为中美客户在跨境投资、银行与融资、贸易、科技、媒体及财富管理等领域提供专业支持。吕膺昊律师将牵头洛杉矶办公室的工作，他将同时担任金杜美国银行与融资业务负责人。吕律师为国际及中资商业银行、投资银行、投资基金与实业企业提供各类融资交易法律服务，尤其专注于国际项目融资、杠杆收购融资、贸易融资及资产融资业务。他在矿业和能源行业的公司型合资或非公司型合资交易中代表投资人。

King & Wood New Offices Established in Vancouver and Los Angeles, Expanding its North American Footprint

King & Wood today announces the establishment of affiliated offices in Vancouver and Los Angeles, strengthening its North American platform and marking a significant next phase in the firm's international growth strategy. Both cities sit at the heart of the Pacific Rim economy, which is a primary engine of global trade, investment and capital flows linking China, North America and the wider Pacific Rim region.

The expansion reflects increasing client demand driven by renewed China–Canada economic engagement, growing outbound Chinese investment and trade, and the rising need for cross-border legal services across trade, investment and private wealth matters. Both Vancouver and Los Angeles are important gateways for Chinese enterprises and high-net-worth individuals operating in North America, as well as key seaports for North American companies entering the Asian market, and our affiliated offices in these two locations will serve as further extensions of King & Wood's international network.

Vancouver: Asia-Pacific Gateway for China–Canada Investment

Vancouver occupies a unique position as Canada's Asia-Pacific gateway, with deep commercial, cultural and investment ties to China and the wider region. As China–Canada economic and trade relations rapidly recover, King & Wood is seeing sustained growth in client demand across China and Canada in corporate establishment, M&A, investment, compliance, international trade, tax planning, disputes and private wealth matters.

The new Vancouver affiliated office is officially registered as King & Wood LLP (a limited liability partnership under the laws of British Columbia) and will be co-led by Hu Zaichi and Liu Cheng. Mr. Hu brings more than two decades of cross-cultural and multijurisdictional experience from leading Canadian, Chinese and international law firms, serving multinational clients in foreign direct investment, mergers and acquisitions, financing, and corporate and commercial matters. Mr. Liu is a corporate partner of King & Wood with extensive experience in antitrust, cross-border regulatory compliance and M&A (admitted to practice in China and New York). Together, the Vancouver office will focus on delivering coordinated China–Canada legal services and working with local partners to support Chinese and Canadian enterprises and investors as they collaborate and expand into both markets.

Los Angeles: Strengthening the US West Coast Platform

With the opening of its Los Angeles office, King & Wood has further strengthened its presence on the US West Coast and added additional presence and capabilities to its existing New York and Silicon Valley offices. The Los Angeles office will support Chinese and American clients across cross-border investment, banking and finance, trade, technology, media and private wealth matters. Lu Yinghao will head up the Los Angeles office and will also become the head of the firm's Banking & Finance practice in the US. Yinghao represents international and Chinese commercial banks, investment banks, investment funds and industrial businesses in a wide variety of financing transactions, with a particular focus on international project financing, leveraged acquisition finance, trade finance and asset finance. He also advises miners and energy investors in cross-border incorporated and unincorporated joint venture transactions.
