当地时间3月24日，肯尼亚政府发布声明称，该国因洪灾死亡人数已上升至88人。声明表示，自3月初以来，由于暴雨引发的洪灾已使全国47个郡中至少21个郡受到影响，两条河流决堤，超过3.4万人流离失所。
肯尼亚政府和肯尼亚红十字会已加强对受灾最严重地区的紧急救援，营救被困居民，并将受灾家庭转移到安全的地方。（总台记者 李晔）
