当地时间23日，据美国方面消息，美国国土安全部官员称，随着国土安全部“停摆”的持续，导致无法按时支付工资，已经有超过400名美国运输安全管理局安检员离职，此外还有大批员工因故缺勤。
一名国土安全部官员表示，22日，美国运输安全管理局安检员的缺勤率达到11.76%，为此次“停摆”以来的最高纪录，共有超过3450名安检员未能到岗工作。
