3月5日上午，十四届全国人大四次会议开幕，政府工作报告提到，过去5年，生态文明建设取得新进步，地级及以上城市空气质量优良天数比例提高到89.3%，森林覆盖率提高到25%以上，成为全球森林资源增长最快最多的国家，构建起全球最大、发展最快的可再生能源体系。
