一块仅2毫米厚的玻璃能装下什么？近日，微软玻璃存储技术问世，竟能存下4.8TB数据，相当于200万本书或5000部超高清电影。
我们常用的磁盘大多撑不过10年，这块玻璃理论上在290℃高温下能保存1万年而无需维护，更能抵御传统磁带、硬盘的易衰减与被恶意篡改。
档案馆、图书馆和博物馆里需要永久保存的孤本古籍、历史影像和科研数据，再也不用每隔几年拷贝一次。
