12日，据美国方面消息，美方已下令向中东派遣第二艘航空母舰。
据悉，“杰拉尔德·R·福特”号航空母舰及其护航舰艇已奉命从加勒比海开往中东地区，“预计到4月底或5月初方能返回母港”。消息人士称，舰上人员已于当天早些时候得知这一决定。
