Pony.ai said on Monday it has rolled out the first mass-produced Bozhi 4X robotaxi, a step toward large-scale commercial deployment under its partnership with Toyota Motor (China) Investment and GAC Toyota Motor.
The vehicle is equipped with Pony.ai's seventh-generation autonomous driving system, tested in complex urban environments including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen, and optimized for commercial operations.
The partners plan to deploy about 1,000 Bozhi 4X robotaxis in 2026, launching services in China's tier-one cities.
