在中国东海海域，散落着一座座静谧的小岛。其中，浙江省舟山市嵊泗县的花鸟岛地处舟山群岛最北端，岛上人烟稀少，老龄化程度接近70%。
当岛上的年轻人纷纷离岛谋生时，另一群人却选择了 “逆行” 而来。他们是 “海岛助老” 项目的志愿者，将人工智能AI与滚烫的爱，一同带到了这座偏远的小岛。
