当地时间1月20日，德国国防部长皮斯托里乌斯表示，德国联邦国防军多年来首次出现显著增长，目前现役军人人数达184200人，达到12年来最高水平。
皮斯托里乌斯说：“这是自暂停征兵制以来，我们征兵人数最多的一次。此外，现役军人规模也达到了12年来的最高水平。”（总台记者 李长皓）
