19日，内蒙古自治区包头市关于包钢板材厂爆炸事故召开新闻发布会。包头市委常委、常务副市长林立介绍，18日15时3分，包钢板材厂炼钢作业部的一个650立方米饱和水、蒸汽球罐发生爆炸，造成厂区内2人死亡、8人失联、84人受伤在院治疗。
