唐·李延寿《北史·王罴传》：神武遣韩轨、司马子如从河东宵济袭罴，罴不觉。比晓，轨众已乘梯入城，罴尚卧未起，闻阁外汹汹有声，便袒身露髻徒跣，持一白棒，大呼而出，谓曰：“老罴当道卧，貉子那得过！”敌见，惊退。[1]
后世据此典故引申出成语“老罴当道”。
