总台记者经国家体育总局、中国围棋协会等多方确认，中国围棋协会名誉主席聂卫平病逝，享年74岁。
聂卫平九段是我国围棋界的标志性人物之一，曾出任围棋国家队总教练。多年以来，他一直积极参与围棋的推广和普及活动。
在上世纪80年代中期的中日围棋擂台赛上，聂卫平连胜多位当时日本超一流棋手。
