1月13日，韩国总统李在明抵达日本进行访问，在日本奈良县与日本首相高市早苗举行会谈。这是李在明在结束对中国的国事访问后，时隔六天再次出访海外。
当天外交部发言人毛宁对此表示，这是韩国和日本之间的双边交往。
