当地时间1月8日，哥伦比亚内政部长贝内德蒂表示，哥伦比亚总统佩特罗和美国总统特朗普同意采取“联合行动”，打击在哥伦比亚与委内瑞拉边境活动的非法武装“民族解放组织（ELN）”。贝内德蒂表示，“民族解放组织”在与政府的和平谈判失败后不断袭击和绑架军人，挑战政府。在与哥伦比亚安全部队发生冲突后经常逃往委内瑞拉，继续在两国边境有组织犯罪，走私毒品。（央视新闻）
