根据冈比亚国防部2026年1月1日发布的通告，一艘载有超过200名非法移民的船只于当地时间2025年12月31日午夜时分在该国附近海域倾覆。
在接到船只遇险警报后，冈比亚海军立即启动了搜救和遗体打捞行动，截至目前已有96人获救，但仍有乘客下落不明。冈比亚政府向遇难者家属表示诚挚慰问。（总台记者 韩蓄）
