印度尼西亚警方说，苏拉威西岛万鸦老市一家养老院发生火灾，造成16人死亡，另有三人被烧伤。
综合路透社和新华社12月29日报道，北苏拉威西地区警察局发言人说，位于万鸦老（Manado）的一家养老院28日晚上8时36分左右着火。当地市政府派出的三辆消防车于晚上9时30分左右赶到现场。
新闻频道Metro TV的拍摄画面显示，猛烈的大火将夜空染成橙色。
万鸦老消防局长说，养老院的住户多是老年人，起火时许多人被困在里面。
警方说，这场大火于28日深夜被扑灭，当局仍在调查起火原因。
