为处理台北袭击案，12月23日，台北市长蒋万安称将缩短赴上海出席“双城论坛”行程：“我将出席28日上午的主论坛，当天即返回台北。”
蒋万安表示，自己还需协助处理袭击案受害者及其家属后续事宜。以及要确保年底前各项大型活动安全部署到位。
