自天子以至于庶人，壹是皆以修身为本。
壹是解做一切。
孔子说：“大学的条目虽有八件，其实上自天子，下至庶人，尽天下的人，一切都要把修身做个根本。”盖格物致知，诚意正心，都是修身的工夫。
齐家、治国、平天下，都是从修身上推去。所以人之尊卑，虽有不同，都该以修身为本也。
