12日，菲方有组织有预谋地纠集大量船只在仙宾礁附近海域挑衅滋事，并冲闯仙宾礁潟湖。其间，菲方多次采取恶意转向等危险举动，甚至持刀威胁中方维权执法的海警。对此，外交部发言人郭嘉昆表示，菲方应该立即停止侵权挑衅和煽宣炒作，停止无休止地上演自编自导的海上闹剧。
