12月8日，辽宁丹东市振安区一处江边，有网民拍摄到多人摆放袋装大米，行跪拜礼后将大米倾倒江中。
12月9日，属地珍珠街道办工作人员回应称，该活动未提前向街道或派出所报备，目前警方已介入调查。辖区鸭绿江边境派出所人员表示，倾倒大米可能是一种还愿性质的放生活动，虽不构成违法，但涉及粮食浪费，不予鼓励。事件具体情况仍在进一步核实中。
