11月10日至21日在巴西举行的《联合国气候变化框架公约》第三十次缔约方大会（COP30），将是30年来首次没有美国高级代表参与的联合国气候变化峰会。不过《纽约时报》在文章指出，有分析人士认为美国缺席COP30或许是一件好事，因为“没有美国的干扰，谈判或许会更顺利”。
