当地时间11月3日，秘鲁外交部长乌戈·德泽拉宣布，由于墨西哥驻秘鲁大使馆向秘鲁前部长会议主席（总理）查韦斯提供政治庇护，秘鲁已决定与墨西哥断绝外交关系。
德泽拉表示，查韦斯目前在墨西哥驻利马大使馆寻求庇护。（总台记者 马天静 王璐璐）
