当地时间10月26日，巴勒斯坦民族权力机构主席马哈茂德·阿巴斯颁布总统令，表示如果他无法继续履行职责，且在巴勒斯坦立法委员会（议会）缺席的情况下，巴民族权力机构主席这一职务将由巴勒斯坦解放组织（巴解组织）执行委员会副主席侯赛因·谢赫暂时代理。
