当地时间10月24日，央视记者获悉，美国交通部长肖恩·达菲当日警告称，由于政府“停摆”已进入第24天，空中交通管制员将无法获得第一笔工资，未来几天可能会出现更多航班延误。
达菲表示，美国联邦航空管理局（FAA）的空中交通管制学院将在未来几周内耗尽支付空中交通管制学员工资的资金。达菲表示，他担心随着假期临近，航班出行将会增加，这可能会导致更多航班延误。（央视记者 曹健）
