10月24日，杨振宁先生遗体告别仪式在北京八宝山殡仪馆举行，许多市民自发前往送别。在排队的人群中，有一位87岁的中国科学院院士、北京大学原物理系主任甘子钊。他说，自己与杨振宁相识50多年，杨振宁对北大很关心，去过北大很多次。
