美股周二早盘，加拿大主要的油砂生产商Cenovus能源（CVE）下跌0.4%，此前该公司收购了MEG能源公司（MEG Energy，MEGEF）8.5%股权，以此作为收购要约组成部分。该交易对MEG估值为76亿加元（约合54.1亿美元）。此次收购旨在强化Cenovus在加拿大油气行业地位，股东投票定于10月22日进行。
