南沙群岛永暑礁驻岛环保部门与中国科学院岛礁综合研究中心10月6日发布消息称，国庆假期期间，科研与驻礁团队在我国南沙群岛永暑礁沙滩上首次清晰记录到绿海龟孵化的全过程。8月10日深夜，科研与驻礁团队记录到一批绿海龟上岸产卵。历经52天的自然孵化周期，这批海龟蛋在国庆假期迎来“新生时刻”。
