当地时间10月3日，德国慕尼黑机场发布声明表示，由于在10月2日深夜多次发现无人机，德国空中交通管制部门自当地时间2日22时18分起限制慕尼黑机场的航班运营，随后该机场全面暂停运营。
机场声明称，当晚，慕尼黑机场有17个航班无法起飞，近3000名乘客受到影响，15个抵达的航班备降至周边其他机场。
