当地时间9月29日，伊朗总统佩泽希齐扬在德黑兰举行的全国消防员日仪式上发表讲话时表示，西方国家“想象着能让伊朗、让伊朗人民屈服，这种幻想只存于他们的梦中”。他还指责联合国因美国在安理会的否决权，始终未能对持续破坏地区稳定的以色列实施制裁。而想要生存的伊朗却因为拒绝低头，面临着日复一日的制裁。
