超强台风“桦加沙”24日在香港以南约100公里掠过，香港天文台24日凌晨2时40分发出最高等级热带气旋警告“十号飓风信号”（简称“十号风球”）。
这是继7月台风“韦帕”之后，香港天文台今年第二次发出“十号风球”热带气旋警告，成为香港自1964年之后，再次出现一年两发“十号风球”。
