尹进，直隶扬州府江都县，军籍，国子生。治书经。字时敏，行二，三十二岁，曾祖尹济民，祖尹汝钦，父尹仲良，母王氏。严侍下。兄尹善、尹刚能。娶焦氏，继娶王氏。顺天府乡试第六十四名，会试第十五名，天顺元年殿试第三甲第三十六名，赐同进士出身。
