The Amur tiger is the largest living feline. An adult male can reach more than 2.5 meters in body length, with a tail over 1.3 meters, and weigh between 180 and 250 kilograms. With its keen vision and unparalleled strength, the Amur tiger stands as the supreme predator guarding vast territories and dominating the top of the food chain.
However, despite its symbolic power, the population of the Amur tiger once declined sharply due to habitat destruction. To protect this endangered national treasure, China has listed it as a Class I protected species and devoted immense efforts to its preservation. From improving ecological environments and strengthening law enforcement to raising public awareness of wildlife conservation, comprehensive measures have been taken to safeguard the Amur tiger and the habitats it depends on for survival.
