时间晶体是2012年理论预测、2016年实验证实的一种全新物态。与普通晶体原子在空间中有序排列不同，时间晶体的原子在时间维度上也呈现周期性变化，就像永不停止的时钟。
最神奇的是，时间晶体在最低能量状态下也能保持这种周期性运动，打破了时间平移对称性。虽然目前仅在量子系统中实现，但时间晶体的研究可能为量子计算和新材料开发带来突破。
