9月14日，吴艳妮在世锦赛首秀中跑出13秒12的成绩，起跑反应时0.293是同组最慢，无缘100米栏半决赛。
赛后，吴艳妮说：“我按照自己的预期去跑，想破13秒，理想的是跑到12秒80，但是今天起跑太慢了，出了点小状况，后面的比赛需要再巩固一下。我自己的大赛经验确实不足，还有待提高。”
