9月12日，在第五届湖南旅游发展大会重点项目雪峰山索道首航仪式上，中国索道协会与北京起重运输机械设计研究院共同授予雪峰山索道“中国最长索道”荣誉称号。
据了解，雪峰山高铁索道由湖南旅游集团投资建设，全长约7600米，垂直高差1158.5米。
